Grandparents and Special Friends Day
Tomorrow, Friday 1 November we host our very special Grandparents and Special Friends Day. This day will commence with Mass at 9.30am and be followed by classroom visits. At 11.00am we will provide morning tea in the MP Hall for our visitors. If families could please send in a plate of food to share this would be greatly appreciated. Our Year One families are serving the morning tea and selling tickets in a raffle as their fundraising event on this day. If you can assist please contact Rechell Naughton.
After morning tea, at 11.45 am, our students will perform on stage to a collection of movie tunes. The day will conclude at approximately 12.45pm.
Unfortunately, late last term, well after our calendar was set, the compulsory annual Principal Leaders Day Meeting date was changed. I am now unable to attend this wonderful event (my favourite of the year!) so will leave you all in Sally Croker's very capable hands.
Please see a link to the invitation sent home below:

Boorowa Touch Football
What an experience the Boorowa Touch Football Carnival was this year! I do not think, in the history of that carnival (and I have been attending since I was a primary school student) that we have ever experienced such appalling weather conditions.
Weather aside, congratulations to all of our students who participated. They all tried their very hardest and displayed excellent sportsmanship.
Thank you to the parents and staff who attended for your valuable help. Thank you to Mrs Rachael Croker for her organisation and coordination of this event.
Operation Christmas Child
I would like to thank our school community for their very generous donations towards the Operation Christmas Child (OCC) project for Samaritan’s Purse.
Today we filled ten boxes with beautiful gifts. It's lovely to know that we will have a part in making some children happy this Christmas.
Expressions of Interest: Junior Basketball Sessions
If anyone is interested in their children participating in some after school junior basketball skills sessions, and assisting with these, please contact Sam Simmons 0436918147.

'Fancy Hat Day' - Melbourne Cup Tuesday 5 November

Tomorrow 1 November - All Saints Day
The designation of November 1 as All Saints Day occurred over time, after the legalisation of Christianity in A.D. 313.
On this day, we give thanks for the many men and women who chose to live lives of faith, hope and love, and in doing so, helped lead others into God’s loving embrace.
We ask them, the Saints, to pray for us today, that we may follow Jesus and experience God’s mercy and love.
Tomorrow is also Grandparents Day – our chance to celebrate and give thanks for these special and valuable people.
Grandparents see the inner beauty of the grandchild
And make the world a little softer, a little kinder, and a little warmer.
A Blessing for Grandparents
Dear God, Please bless our grandparents.
Thank you for the life they gave our parents
and for the life they give to us.
For the ways they help us and make us strong, we give thanks.
For the ways they love us no matter what, we rejoice.
For the ways they have paved the road that leads us here, we are grateful.
Let them grow in wisdom and joy in life.
Let them find peace and rest from their work.
Let them be healed of every sickness and pain.
And let them see with their own eyes
the glory of your Son, Jesus, in the love of their children and grandchildren.
Bless them always until they come to rest in you. Amen.
