A talk by Ash Manuel. During this session, Ash will take you through six ways you can overcome adversity in challenging times. Not only will he discuss the six ways, but he will also show you how, by sharing practical activities that you can do to build and protect your mental wellbeing. Not only your mental wellbeing but that of your family and students. In 2010, while teaching as a primary school physical education teacher in Adelaide, Ash discovered his most significant learning. Resilience, grit and happiness can be practised - in the same way, skills in a sport can be practised. As a result Growing With Gratitude was born. Maths Game of the Week

Kinder, Year 1,2 and 3

Card flip to 12

Be the first player to turn over all of your cards
0-12 where King is 0, Jack is 11 and Queen is 12!

Each player has a row of cards in front of them 0-12.
Players take turns to roll two die.
You can choose to add or subtract the numbers on each dice face to equal a number 0-12. Turn down the card that is your answer.
Skip a turn if you have already turned the card down.
Eg. Roll a 6, Roll a 2; Answer is 4 if I subtract, so I turn card 4 down.

Years 4,5 and 6
Flipper
The aim is to add as many cards as you can in 30 seconds.
Start timer and you have 30 seconds to turn over cards and add as you go.
Play a second time and see if you can beat your first total.
A=1, J=11, Q=12, K=13
