P & F News

P & F Annual General Meeting President’s Report

2019 saw another successful year for the St Mary’s P&F Association. The Association was blessed by the good work of those that held executive positions. A big thank you to Melissa Haynes, Allison Hewitt, Craig Croker, Catherine Culley and Rechell Naughton. I would also like to thank Daria for her dedication and tireless efforts in managing the tuckshop, and her team of volunteers for their time. Likewise, James and his team of farmers for managing the cattle herd through a particularly difficult season. A special thank you and congratulations to all those lovely people who organised and ran year group fundraisers throughout the year.

Notably, in 2019, the P&F aided the school with:

$16,491.50 into the court project on the bottom playground

$10, 000 for resources for key learning areas

Donated $1400 to students who achieved a high representative level in sport and music.

Purchase of a new BBQ.

Fundraising achievements in 2019 that allowed us to provide these funds include:

Tuckshop Profit: $9,129.12

Cattle Sales: $9,542.30

Year Group and other Fundraising: $9,371.52

Well done to everyone involved!

All of this would not have been possible without the support and leadership of our school principal Mrs. Sarah Lowe. It is Sarah’s dedication, and the work ethic of all staff, that has seen the schools’ substantial growth and continued success over the last few years.

It is with this in mind, I feel that the school, along with the P&F are in a steadfast position to capitalise on future growth and achievement. With continued support from parents and friends, I’m sure 2020 will be another successful year, providing much-needed funds for improvements to the school that all students will benefit from.
