On Thursday, 4 May, St Mary's was very excited to send 4 teams to compete in the Gilbert/Croker Rugby League Tackle and Tag competition. The competition was run by the NRL at Goulburn. 

All teams had an excellent day, playing 4x 20-minute games against other schools and coming away with only one loss across all games.

The day was action-packed, with only short breaks between games and was exceptionally well run.

The St Mary's students happily swapped positions and encouraged their teammates throughout the day. Some year 3/4 boys even played up in the year 5/6 team and played fantastically against bigger boys.

There were some lovely comments about how well the league tag girls played and their sportsmanship.

All students should be congratulated on their sportsmanship, effort, and positive attitude.

Thank you to the parents who drove the students down and assisted with managing the teams throughout the day.
