Parent/Student/Teacher Conferences

Thank you for attending the Parent/Student/Teacher Conferences this week. Your participation in these conferences is invaluable to the success of your child's education, and we appreciate your commitment to their academic growth.

During these conferences, you had the opportunity to discuss how your child has settled into their new class routines. You also may have discussed your child's progress and strengths and received feedback on areas that require improvement. This collaborative effort between parents and teachers is vital to ensure that our students receive the best education possible.

We understand that attending these conferences can be challenging, especially with busy schedules and other commitments. If you did not get a chance to meet with your child's teacher, we strongly encourage you to call the Office on 48321 592 or email your child's teacher, to arrange another suitable time.

We are proud to work with such supportive parents and want to assure you that we remain committed to providing your child with an excellent education. We are always available to discuss your child's progress and any concerns you may have throughout the year.

Crookwell Country Weekend

On Saturday, 18 March, we have been invited to participate in the Crookwell Country Weekend Street Parade.

Our parade theme will be 'Country Kids'. We ask that students come to the front of the Memorial Hall on Denison Street from 9.30am to 9.45am wearing country-themed clothing, such as checked shirts, jeans, boots and cowboy hats. The students will parade to popular country and Australian music. The parade commences at 10am.

It's not too late for your child to join in. Please click on this link to register your participation; the more, the merrier!

NAPLAN

Our Year 5 and Year 3 students have successfully started their NAPLAN testing this week. During the first tests administered, the students showed great focus, resilience and determination.

For those who may not know, NAPLAN stands for National Assessment Program - Literacy and Numeracy. It is a nationwide standardised test that assesses students' reading, writing, language conventions (spelling, grammar, and punctuation) and numeracy skills. It is administered to students in Years 3, 5, 7, and 9 in Australia.

As a school, we place great importance on ensuring our students have the necessary skills to succeed both academically and in life. NAPLAN is just one aspect of this, and we are proud of our student's achievements thus far.

We look forward to receiving the results of the tests later in the year and using this data to assist with our planning and education programs to ensure ongoing success. In the meantime, we encourage our students to continue working hard and always strive to do their best.

Toys at School

We have recently noticed an increasing number of toys being brought to school. Please be aware that it is school policy that toys brought to school are the responsibility of the child. The school does not take any responsibility for lost or broken toys.

We are always happy to supply a variety of items for the students to play with during break times. Please contact us if you have any suitable ideas.
