This Sunday is Mothers’ Day.

God our Creator, we pray:
for expectant mothers, wondering and waiting;

for new mothers, coming to terms with new responsibility;

for all mothers...

-who are tired, stressed or depressed;
-who struggle to balance the tasks of work and family;
-who are unable to feed their children due to poverty;
-whose children have physical, mental or emotional disabilities;
-who raise children on their own;
-who have lost a child;
-who care for the children of others;
-whose children have left home; 
Bless all mothers, that their love may be deep and tender, and that they may lead their children to know and do what is good. May your loving hand guide them in the special work they do.  Amen.

Let us be Easter people striving to open our hearts and minds to follow Jesus in:

• Listening attentively to others’ problems
• Reaching out to help the sick
• Acknowledging and helping the poor by participating in the St Vincent De Paul Winter Appeal
• Standing up for what is right (even when others disagree)
• Having courage to do what is right (even when condemned)
• Praying often and seeking guidance from his Father
• Forgiving (no matter how difficult)
• Showing patience and tolerance
• Having mercy on all those who have lost their way

We could all make a difference in our world with these goals!

Let us all answer Jesus’ call to carry on His mission of love…

Winter Appeal 2022

St Vincent De Paul’s is a Catholic agency committed to a more just and compassionate Australia where no person nor child should have to wonder where they will sleep each night. The Vinnies Winter Appeal is all about providing emergency relief to those at risk of/or experiencing homelessness. All donations are then distributed through the many homelessness and community services to directly support those in the local community who are most impacted. As a Catholic School, St Mary’s is also committed to these goals and we join the Vinnies Winter Appeal each year.

Tomorrow, Year 6 will be introducing the St Vincent De Paul WINTER APPEAL

• New gloves/mittens
• Coats and scarves
• Sleeping bags
• Blankets/donnas
