End of Year Events
End of Year School Mass and Leadership Changeover Ceremony
Our Year Five students are currently preparing to present themselves to our student body as possible School Captains for 2022. The students will present their speeches on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday of Week 9, with the voting to occur on Wednesday afternoon, 1 December. As is the long-held tradition, the Captains are student-elected, staff do not vote.
The 2022 Captains will be announced at our End of Year School Mass and Changeover Ceremony held on Thursday 9 December at 12pm. As the church can now have people with 2sqm allocation, parents and carers are able to attend, if they desire.
Please note the badges will be blessed and presented at our 2022 Welcome and Leaders Induction Mass at the beginning of Term One on Thursday 10 February (TBC).
Year Six Farewell
This year our Year Six end of year Graduation events will occur on Monday 13 December. The format will be as follows:
5.30pm - Graduation Mass at St Mary's Church
6.30pm - Dinner at the Services Club for students, parents/carers/adult guests and staff
- Year Six Awards Presentation
- Year Six Final Assembly
The Year Six class will present their Final Assembly on the last day of school, Wednesday 15 December. The recipients of Awards will also be acknowledged at this Assembly. Further details about this will be confirmed when I have the updated relevant restriction information.
School Fees 2022
Careful consideration has been taken in reviewing the fees for 2022 to continue to support our school’s requirements while keeping increases manageable and fair for families in the current economic environment.
I can now advise you that in 2022, our fee for a single student will be $573 per term.
Our fee combines Tuition and School levies and will help to keep pace with rising salaries and costs to ensure our school continues to deliver the quality education for our students that you would expect.
The School Board has approved the following fee structure for 2022.
Family per term CEO fee (Paid by us to the Office in Canberra) |
$ 340.00 |
Family per term CEO fee-if older child/ren attend Trinity |
$ 170.00 |
Family per term- Student Utilities/Maintenance Levy |
$ 138.00 |
Family per term – Building Levy |
$ 31.00 |
Student per term- IT Levy |
$ 32.00 |
Student per term – Student Resource Levy |
$ 32.00 |
Your consistent approach to fee-paying is very much appreciated and ensures your children always have access to the best educational resources and learning environment possible.
As always, if fees create financial concern for you, I would encourage you to make an appointment with me to discuss how we can help. It is a policy in the Archdiocese that no student should be refused enrolment, excluded or disadvantaged because their family is unable to afford fees. Any discussion on fees would be strictly confidential. If you have any questions regarding school fees for 2022, please feel free to contact me.
Kindergarten, Year One and Year Two presented their virtual Showcase of Learning Assembly using the digital platform MS TEAMS. Unable to host a live performance or assembly with audiences, our students still performed and were videoed by staff to allow families the opportunity to enjoy the diverse talents of our students.
What an amazing performance showcasing incredible talent with our students dancing, presenting and acting. Congratulations and thank you Mrs. Sally-Anne Croker, Mrs. Branson, Mrs. Cummins and Mrs. McCormack.
Orientation
We have one full day orientation left for our 2022 Kindergarten starters. Next Monday, 22 November, our new students will spend another day becoming familiar with school life at St Mary's with the help of their Year 5 friends (Year 6 2022 Buddies). We ask that parents and carers follow the same procedures as the previous two orientation days, please.
